Artist's notes: "Hey Diddle Diddle was one of my favorite childhood rhymes. When my grandson, Benjamin, was born, I created this sculpture/mobile to showcase the key players of that classic, including a cat, fiddle, dog, dish, and spoon revolving in front of a starry backdrop. An electronic device implanted in the cow creates a realistic mooing sound when the cow is touched. After lights out, the moon, stars, dish, and spoon glow in the dark. This project inspired me to write a children’s story titled Astra, the Flying Cow to explain how and why the cow jumped over the moon."
